This therapy teaches skills that can help anyone with virtually any problem.  The concepts and skills that are a part of this therapy are basically life skills that can benefit anyone. However, DBT is particularly helpful for people who want to stop self-destructive behaviors, cope with very painful emotions, or be more effective in their relationships with others.
